How can I watch BFF 2021 Online Festival films?
The 10th Annual Breakthroughs Film Festival will run from June 16-20 online via Sisterhood Media TV. During the 5 days of the festival, you will be able to watch all 26 films in the 2021 program on demand from the comfort of your own home.
I’m not in Canada. Can I still watch the films?
Unfortunately, our festival is geo-blocked to Canada, which means you will need to be in Canada to access the films.
How do I purchase a festival pass?
CLICK HERE to purchase a 2021 Festival Pass. You will need to create an account with sisterhood media tv as well as enter in a valid credit card. If you have a promo code, you can enter it below the credit card information. Please note: All festival passes, including pre-ordered and complimentary passes, are subject to a one-time processing fee of $1.25 CAD only payable via Credit Card. How do I watch individual shorts programs?
Tickets to each of the 6 individual shorts program can be purchased for $5.00. Once you purchase a ticket to a shorts program, you will have access to all films in the program block on-demand. If you would like to view more than one shorts program, we recommend you purchase a festival pass.
Do you offer free festival passes and/or tickets?
We have a limited number of festival passes and tickets reserved for folks who identify as IBPOC, folks with disabilities and/or people who are under/unemployed to remove barriers to being able to participate in the festival. As a non-profit with a slim budget, we rely on festival ticket sales to fund the festival every year but we are also committed to providing access to priority groups. Please reach out to info@breakthroughsfilmfestival.com to request a festival pass/ticket waiver.
I have not received a confirmation email for my ticket/pass. How do I access the festival?
Sisterhood Media TV automatically emails your pass confirmation to your email, with the subject line: Thanks for subscribing to BFF Festival Pass on sisterhood media TV

Is closed-captioning available?
All films, Q&As and panels have closed-captioning available. In addition, our Industry workshops will have live transcription available.
How long do I have to watch films?
All films are available to stream on demand via Sisterhood Media TV until 11:59pm ET on Sunday June 20.
Are there live events?

How do I vote for Audience Choice?
Vote for your favourite film at BFF 2021 HERE. Each user only gets to vote for one film! Voting closes at 11:59pm ET on Sunday June 20.
